It was another good result for World Cup dressage finalist Wendi Williamson (Kumeu). She and Mon Dejavu MH placed 7th with 69.2% in the FEI CDI Grand Prix at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage in the United Kingdom.
“It was quite an emotional test actually,” says Williamson of her last show of her global campaign. “I was really happy with the test. I made improvements in the walk and he was more relaxed.”
Still the magical 70% continues to elude them in Europe, but she is very pleased to be so close.
Williamson was buoyed by the huge Kiwi presence at the show. “Each time I looked I saw another Kiwi. It was such a buzz.”
The class was won by Spencer Wilton (GBR) aboard Super Nova II with a score of 78.82%. The combination will compete in the Grand Prix Special on Sunday (UK time).
