Steph MacPherson. No longer able to ride Steph now enjoys working behind the scenes. Often found in her favourite roles, “camp-mother” where she gets to feed hungry workers and top up cups of tea & coffee, and vet writing where she gets to pick the brains of fellow veterinary professionals.

Steph has been a registered veterinary nurse since 1984 and is currently employed by Atkinson & Associates at their Te Kuiti Clinic. Steph's main interests at work include puppy preschool, surgery and anaesthesia, and educating clients on general animal care

Steph enjoys working behind the scenes as she gets to spend time learning more about the sport and spending time with her equine-orientated friends. Although she is unable to ride and compete at the moment (intends getting back into it once fully recovered from an injury) Steph enjoys supporting her daughter Rebecca who has recently discovered a passion for the sport and helping out where she can.

When she’s not busy on the endurance circuit, Steph enjoys cycling, spending time with her family, watching son Michael play polo, gardening and trying to tame her 2 acre lifestyle block.
