SI Dressage Championships Finals Underway

Published 12 February 2017

The Harper Horsecoaches Finals get underway today at the picturesque Gore Showgrounds. A maximum of 15 of the best combinations qualify for today's head to head competitions to determine the South Island Dressage Champions for 2017.

The OC has done a fabulous job and the horses and riders have been putting up some great scores.

The SI Super 5 League has been completed and you can see the results here.

One of the league standouts was Lorraine Ward-Smith and Fernlea Diamond Day who scored a maximum 52 points in the league. The quality of this young horse was praised by Anne Praine, FEI 4* judge (FRA).

Today will be bitter-sweet for Jude Nickolls as she has her final ride at Grand Prix level on her special little mare Glenview Caballero. Jude has made the decision to retire Gabby and concentrate on her younger team.

The SI League Semi-Finals results can be viewed along with all other class results from the first two days here
