It’s been a busy weekend for New Zealand’s offshore based showjumpers with a number in the money across the globe.
Phillip Steiner and Cassina Dior placed 11th in the 1.50m at the CSI4*-W on the Morocco Royal Tour. Twenty-nine started the class with 10 coming back for the jump-off which was won by Simone Delestre (FRA) aboard Olga van de Kruishoeve who were double clear in 46.05 seconds. Phillip and Cassina Dior picked up a single time fault in the opening round.

Phillip and Tom Tarver with Fiber Fresh Popeye were both top 20 in the 1.55m World Cup Grand Prix. Just eight of the 35 strong field went through to the jump-off where Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Nikolaj de Music won the day.
Uma O’Neill and Clockwise Greenhill Z finished fourth in the $200,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup at Sacramento, California. Twenty-four started the class with just six coming back for the jump-off. Uma and her lovely stallion picked up four faults in the that all-important second round. Just the winner Robert Blanchette (IRE) aboard Chardonnay and runner up Sophia Siegel (USA) with A-Gril were double clear. The class was the opening round of the North American World Cup League. Earlier in the show Uma was just inside the money with Messi 10 in the $44,000 1.45m speed class.

Sharn Wordley has had a good weekend at the CSI2* show at the Tryon International Equestrian Centre in the United States. He and Mick Jagger were second in the $78,000 FEI CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix. He picked up a win the 1.45m speed stakes aboard Champion League but had to share the podium once again with his partner in the Sunday Classic which he won on Valentine Car with Lauren Balcomb second aboard Verdini d’Houtveld Z.
